Introduction

As water is a limited and invaluable resource, it is essential for human health and wealth to manage the available resource and implement effective adaptation strategies in response to climate change that can strengthen resilience and enhance water security. This said, sustainable management of both surface and groundwater resources is so important for addressing water-related challenges.

To achieve lasting water sustainability, it is essential to focus on the restoration and conservation of freshwater ecosystems. This includes strategies such as minimizing pollution, adopting sustainable land use practices, and establishing protected areas for aquatic species. Furthermore, it is a must to address the climate crisis by enhancing water efficiency, investing in infrastructure, and exploring new water sources. This may involve initiatives like water recycling programs, modernizing treatment facilities, and developing desalination technologies.
